About RCI, Inc.
RCI, Incorporated is an international association of professional consultants, architects, and engineers who specialize in the specification and design of roofing, waterproofing and building envelope systems.
Since 1983 RCI members have offered unbiased design, repair planning, quality observance, legal testimony, and general roof management services. In March of 2006, RCI (formerly Roof Consultants Institute) expanded its mission and service scope to include waterproofing and the building envelope. This action reflects the understanding that roofing issues often influence the entire building envelope. It was discovered that in increasing frequency, RCI members are called upon to address building-wide concerns from below-grade to rooftop.
The Registered Roof Consultant (RRC), Registered Waterproofing Consultant (RWC) and Registered Roof Observer (RRO) programs distinguish professionals with the proven standards of education, experience and ethics.
The Puget Sound Chapter held its last meeting of 2009 on December 2.
Among the business discussed, was a review of the chapter finances and budget, educational programs and other activities for the upcoming year.
Ballots were cast for the 2010 Board of Directors:

President-Doug Jason:
As last year’s Vice President/President Elect, Doug takes on the responsibilities of President of the Puget Sound Chapter

Vice President-Jana Riesebieter:
Chapter members elected Jana to the position of Vice President. She will also be the President Elect, assuming the position of President in 2011

Secretary/Treasurer: Aaron Nelson:
Aaron was re-elected by the Chapter for a third consecutive year, and will continue his duties as the Secretary/Treasurer for 2010

Eric Weller-Industry Director:
Eric will continue his role as Industry Director for the second year of his two year term

Professional Director:
This position of office is not currently held. A chapter member, to be determined, will be appointed to this position.
The Puget Sound Chapter plans on putting on a few events in the upcoming year. Among those are the Roof Tech II class and a Golf Tournament. Save the date! Tentatively, the Puget Sound Chapter will hold its first two meetings of 2010 on Wednesday January 13 and Wednesday May 12. Please check our website for updates on these events and more.
